Top Neighborhoods With Walking Trails Surrounded By Nature

Plano

With Plano being a north Dallas suburb you wouldn’t expect it to make this list, but within Plano is Arbor Hills Nature Preserve. This Nature Preserve is full of walking trails, creeks, wildlife and beautiful scenery, perfect for exploring nature and getting active! There are also multiple different parks and trail systems all throughout Plano some that are held within the subdivisions making it easy to walk outside of your house and get more steps in within the safety of your community. Some of these smaller trail systems that a ton of people visit to get some fresh air are Bob Woodruff Park, Chisholm Trail, and Oak Point Trail and Nature Preserve. With all of these different options its easy to see why people that love the outdoors love to live in Plano!

Highland Park

Biker and Hiker friendly, White Rock Lake Trail is a beautiful 10 mile long trail that wraps all the way around White Rock Lake which also includes multiple pavilions and parks including a well known dog park. Those that live in Lakewood get to enjoy daily walks on the lake which is perfect for those that love living by the water.

Forest Hills

Living in Forest Hills is full of value because it is located near White Rock Lake, which offers a variety of recreational activities such as fishing, boating, swimming, and hiking. The lake also provides a beautiful backdrop for outdoor activities and is home to a variety of wildlife. Additionally, Forest Hills is close to downtown Dallas, providing easy access to shopping, dining, and entertainment. The area also offers a variety of housing options, from single-family homes to luxury apartments. Forest Hills also contains the Dallas Arboretum and Garden which is a beautiful place to visit if you want to experience more nature that you normally wouldn’t get to experience living in the big city!
