Rosedale is a cozy residential neighborhood with a homey feel. It is one of the older neighborhoods of Austin, established in the 1930s and 40s, with tree adorned streets, highly-rated schools, parks, and local businesses and restaurants.

About the Neighborhood

Rosedale is an older, comfortable, residential neighborhood in the northwest section of central Austin. The central part of the neighborhood has older, modest-sized homes and some new construction, while the outer sections have restaurants and shops.

The Lifestyle

The neighborhood has a strong sense of community. The population is a mix of single professionals and young families attracted by the neighborhood's convenient location and amenities. The neighborhood has several parks, most notably Ramsey Park/Playground which has a swimming pool, a playground, ball field, picnic tables, and BBQ grills, and Shoal Creek, which has running and bike trails.

The community is close-knit and the residents take an active part in maintaining the charming, historic feel to their neighborhood. Homes in Rosedale

Most of the homes in Rosedale have the charm typically found in pier and beam 1930s and 1940s construction. Tudor cottages and bungalows with welcoming front porches are common.  Many renovation projects and new construction keep the area vibrant.
